Its legal base is protected by the UN Charter which stipulates that, under international humanitarian law, the Red Cross is allowed to work in troubled countries in order to protect the civilians and offer medical assistance to those who need it. The largest beneficiaries are people from third world countries who lack access to medical care, medications and even clean water.

The Red Cross also has a strong online presence, gathering donations from people all over the world who want to support their mission. The Red Cross is promoted through online medical institutions or medical drugstores.
